Playlist Library

For the fall 2023 semester, English 152W students created playlists for short stories that amplify contemporary BIPOC voices. Choosing from either “There He Go” by Ladee Hubbard or “Earth, Speak” by Morgan Talty, students selected five songs they felt related to the plots, characters, themes and issues of their selected text. Their choices have been consolidated into two mega-playlists, one for each fiction selection:

“There He Go” by Ladee Hubbard

“Earth, Speak” by Morgan Talty

For the spring 2023 semester, English 152 students split into groups to create playlists for texts from the American Gothic, Romantic, Naturalist and Realist traditions. Happy listening!
